Fishing Charter Info/Rates

Marco Island Fishing CharterAll of our backcountry fishing trips start out from Caxambas Marina, located on the southern end of Marco Island, the gate way to the 10,000 islands. Check map for details. Once aboard, you’re only a minute away from your fishing spots!

What’s included:
Florida fishing license, all fishing tackle necessary for the fishing charter, cooler with ice, bait, fillet and bagging of your catch.

What to bring on your fishing charter:
Polarized glasses, camera, hat, sunscreen 30spf, loose fitting light-weight clothing, drinks (water) and snacks. Please wear white or non marking sole shoes.

What you can expect:
Travel distance from one backcountry fishing spot to another is kept down to a minimal, and depends on the length of the charters booked. I believe in keeping running time down and spending more time with lines in the water. This is a fishing trip - not just another boat ride. What you can expect to see are indigenous birds such as brown and white Pelicans, Bald Eagles, Roseate Spoonbill, Great Blue Herons and White Ibis. In the water you can expect to see Bottle Nose Dolphins, Manatees, Sea Turtles, and schools of bait fish as you travel through the endless chains of mangrove islands and open water. It’s not uncommon to find yourself lost within minutes from leaving the dock, and you may never see another boat while fishing.

When fishing in the backwaters, you will be fishing exclusively in the remote waters along mangroves shorelines and not in canals behind homes. As your captain, I am committed in protecting this fascinating and complex ecosystem, so let me capture your trophy game fish on film for a life time memory. I can fillet some species of fish for dinner and recommend which restaurants can cook your catch.

Fishing Charter Boats:
I offer three fishing boats that can meet your needs. For back water fishing deep in the 10,000 islands choose between two specialize flats boats: Fish Tales, a 17’ Beavertail Skiff for sight fishing and poling the extreme shallow water limited to two anglers – or Seaducer, a 21’ Maverick master angler for a fast, comfort ride to your next fishing hot spot. Perfect for live bait fishing, limited to three anglers; and for offshore fishing, Mr. Lucky, a 28’ Whitewater center console with a tower perfect for sport fishing the near shore wrecks and hard lime stone formations - a fast, comfortable & dry riding boat, limited to four anglers.

I limit the number of anglers to each boat based on the best fishing comfort for all anglers aboard. All boats are powered by Yamaha outboards and are in impeccable condition. Aboard you will find the best brands of marine equipment such as Lowrance electronics, Sage fly rods and reels, Gloomis rods with Shimano reels, and Motorguide trolling motor to name a few.
