Captain Chris what rods do you use? Tiki Custom Rods!

I get this question from clients, friends, and family all the time. “What rods are you using for all of your different types of fishing?” My answer is always the same - “Tiki Custom Rods”.

But why you may ask. Well there are a few reasons but the biggest is the reliability of the rod’s that Jack builds. I have been through many different rod makers always looking for the best attributes from each rod that would last through the rigors of being used daily by angler’s of all skill levels. Whether it is for Tarpon in Boca Grande to redfish in the mangroves; I like putting quality in my client’s hands because it gives me that confidence in knowing that the gear they are using is going to hold up to our targeted species. It also gives the client extra confidence as well.

Top two things that a customer will look at when they show up for a charter - the boat and the gear. Always always always the first two comments that come out of their mouths upon stepping onto the boat. So all my gear is new and clean and matching.

But the best advantage of having my rods built by @tikicustomrods is; I tell Jack the purpose and targeted species of the rods, and what reels I plan to put on those rods and he builds me exactly what I want. He picks the appropriate blank and then I tell him what I want it to look like and he builds a masterpiece.

Trust me they have been through the test. I have had customers put these rods in some of the most awkward positions in the heat of a battle that any other rod would have exploded in the hands of the customer. Not Tiki, they continue to amaze me every time we hook up to that trophy Tarpon or that over slot Snook.
